  I would have given 5 stars since the actual work was as agreed and the techs, Mike and Colby, were great. However, the project manager, Steve and his boss, Kevin, are another story...
  When our insurance company contacted URI for our mold remediation, they had sent us a check based on Steve's estimate for us to pay with. However, before we signed a contract we wanted to be sure the settlement would cover the estimate. Steve would NOT give us the estimate; only beat around the bush trying to find out how much our check was. He then went around us to our adjuster and asked her (that's a whole different issue). Once he knew how much we had to work with he assured us that it would cover his estimate. (I speculate it actually was that his estimate would cover our check...)
  Next issue was that that job ended up much smaller than anticipated and the second day only required one tech rather than two. Steve told us that because of this he would adjust the invoice about $500 to reflect the lack of need for a second man. In addition, URI contracted for the microbial test. When we got the bill, Steve told my husband, in an email, not to pay it because he would push it to the insurance company...
  We waited for the final invoice and when it came through, had not been adjusted. When my husband contacted him he didn't remember the convo. When my husband refreshed his memory, he quit speaking to us. We waited to hear back and never did so I called the week before Christmas to pay the bill. I let Lisa know that although I'm willing to pay the bill I'm disappointed at how we were treated. (Why make a statement like Steve did if there was zero intention of following through??) After providing my billing/card info Lisa suggests I talk to Kevin whom she assured me would want to hear about this and *would* contact me back. He did not. A week later I called again because holidays... Again, my info was taken on a Th. No response to my number but he called Monday and left a voicemail on husband's phone. Husband spoke with Kevin today and now we're told there's a software that calculates estimates and the costs are fixed; can't be adjusted. Why this wasn't mentioned in the initial conversations is beyond me. In addition, Kevin tells my husband WE needed to forward the bill for the microbial test to our insurance company.
  I would be happy to have Mike and Colby work for me again but I don't trust Steve or Kevin, thus, URI, any longer. If ever I need work done again, I will not call them. The run-around with the estimate, the lie about adjusting for the smaller job, conflicting info about the microbial test bill, and ignoring our calls is unacceptable and unprofessional. I will never hire this company again.

  The company estimated 3-5 weeks to redo my kitchen. It took 5 months. Joel was my estimator and wouldn't lay down set prices, just round estimates. Kevin was his boss and wouldn't get back to me or make good on stated promises. I used them through my insurance company, and I really wished I hadn't. The used subcontractors, who used subcontractors. URI didn't actually do the work, and by the time everyone has made money and hired someone else, you get a contractor who doesn't know what they are doing. I had to fire them and finish the kitchen myself. They said they would bill the insurance one amount, but then billed the insurance a lower amount, and billed me for the rest. It was a bad situation, but I would never use them again. I ended fixing several things they did.
